About Jenna

I will be doing my first bodybuilding competition in 2010 in the UKBFF under 55kg physique category. I work full-time in administration and part-time as a carer; and train twice a day at the gym – one session for weights and one for cardio, with scheduled rest days. My coach is Harold Marillier, who is based in Crawley, but I train daily in my hometown Portsmouth.

I started bodybuilding late in life but have always been involved various kinds of physical training. I did ballet and dance training throughout my childhood and performed with a children’s ballet company in London for three years in my early teens. I loved the creativity of using such discipline and strength to produce something so graceful. At fifteen I achieved a place at stage school but my parents were unable to fund this so I had to find something else to do with myself…

I spent a year and a half backpacking in South-East Asia and Australia in my early twenties; and I then studied international politics at Uni and graduated with a BA (Hons). It was then that I turned my attention from circuits and cardio (and various extreme sports!) to bodybuilding. I am at the start of my journey with this sport and still have so much to learn so am very grateful for all the support I have been given.
